Intention and thought are both critical dimensions of a korban. They differ in that we can make assumptions about intentions and we can assign intention to action. Not so with respect to thought: We can never make assumptions about people‘s thoughts not can we assign thoughts to their actions. A wrong thought can irretrievably damage the quality of an action – especially in korbanot.
